Vladimir Ushakov was born in Leningrad in 1968.
Started to play accordion since the age of four.
Finished the music school in the class of teacher V. Belyaev (1983), M. Mussorgsky musical college in the class of V. Gerasimov (1987), graduated from the State Academy of Culture (1994).
Since 1984 has been playing in a duet with the accordion player S. Likhachov, since 1989 – the soloist of the St. Petersburg Musette Ensemble.
Apart from being in the Ensemble, Vladimir Ushakov performs as a solo-player on accordion, in a duet with accordion player Svetlana Stavitskaya.
Since 2001 he is member of the Baltic International Accordion Quintet ''Excelsior''.
Vladimir Ushakov is the author of the music and arrangements for the accordion and different accordion ensembles, the author of the methodical works, the participant of various musical projects –
musicals "Sound of Music" and "Evita" (Denmark), rock concerts in a rock band "Bolo band" (Russia), musical albums of the popular vocalists and composers A. Asadulin, L. Lusta, S. Rybin, V. Psaryov, V. Krivonos, E. Guzeev, S. Bolotnikov, M. Likhachov etc, musical arrangement of the TV program and series.
Vladimir is one of the organizer of the concerts cycle "Meetings friends on the Neva banks", producer of program "S. P. M. E. Productions" and publishing program "S. P. M. E. Editions".
Vladimir Ushakov is the laureate of the international jazz competetion (Italy, 2003), the laureate of the international competitions in the staff of the St. Petersburg Musette Ensemble (Italy, 1999),
the Baltic International Accordion Quintet ''Excelsior'' (Italy, 2002, 2003) and in duet Svetlana Stavitskaya (Italy, 2006).
